What we do:

Humus supports groups and individuals in being active for socio-ecological transformation. Humus does not implement its own campaigns or actions. Rather, we provide a fertile soil for the joyful and effective growth of various initiatives, groups, organisations and networks.

Humus is open for enquiries from all emancipatory social areas to provide advice and support - with individual consulting and tailor-made offers, depending on the problem. Our standard-offer is divided into EducationConsulting or Support.

You can find our short info-leaflet here.

Who we are:

Laura (she)

Laura gets things done at Humus. A cool project idea that is not being carried out makes her fingers tingle. Then again: if things don't happen because she's spending time with her friends, it's only half as bad. Laura studied International Development and Business Administration and has worked in administration, facilitation and various projects.

At Humus, her favourite topics are organisational development and group dynamics.

Heli (he)

Heli generates 4 new ideas a day and gets annoyed that there aren't enough hours in the day to realise them all. Mainly because Heli also likes to sleep and even more so to climb. He studied philosophy and sociology and has worked in various NGOs on human rights, food sovereignty and in a participation office.

His favourite topics at Humus are action planning, mobilisation and movement ecology.

Jakob (none)

Jakob is the branch of the Impuls Academy in the west of Austria and is also active at Tipping Points. Jakob is also a driving force for networking and international cooperation. When Jakob is not on online calls, he is engaged in queerfeminist contexts and researches gender justice.

Jakob's focus is on networking, facilitation and educational projects.

Together, we have a passion for sharing knowledge and transferring skills. We also share a long-standing involvement in various social movements and NGOs (together and individually). Among others: aks, Asylkoordination, Anti-Privatisation Campaign in UK, Food Coops, Ny Tanintsika in Madagascar, Nyeleni, System Change, not Climate Change, Ende Gelände, Klimacamp, Südwind, ...

Who we work with

As a well-attuned trio, we can achieve a lot, but of course not everything! We bring other people/collectives on board for certain projects. For example, for the organisation of Tipping Points events.

We also offer individual workshops together with other speakers or forward enquiries directly if there are colleagues who have more expertise on a topic than we do. We have worked together on specific projects with Kampagnenbüro radius, Civil Action Network, Czas Kultury, educat Kollektiv, Kollektiv Radix, Convivial Garden, Skills 4 Action, Attac Österreich, Zentrum polis, Oxfam, Climate Action Network, and others.
